We’re bringing the plane in for a landing here… We can see the runway. Nice work! Almost there…
Still a couple things however:
Pre-settlement walkthroughs
While usually a formality, this is just to ensure the property is in good shape and everything is in order. Keep in mind, sometimes the seller moves out several days before settlement so this is something we insist on. The Agreement of Sale affords us two walkthroughs and we usually do both to be extra sure that settlement goes off without a hitch. If there is an issue, keep in mind there is almost literally nothing we haven’t seen. We got you and we’ll get it resolved!
Setting Up Home Services:
Our transaction coordinator will supply you with all of the proper utility information so that you see no interruption of service when you take possession.
Settlement:
CONGRATS! Just a few more docs to sign in person at the settlement table and the home is yours! We have found this is a great way for you and the seller to connect and ask any outstanding questions about the home. Often both parties exchange cell numbers in case of any questions arise.
Common questions after settlement:
“What does this switch do?”
“What day to they take recyclables?”
“What should we do with the seller’s mail?”
Keep in mind, your relationship with your SLG Team agent does not end here. It simply transitions into a new phase. This isn’t a transaction, but a relationship (excuse the corniness)
I often tell my buyers: “I’m your first call!” Anything you need, we are here for you while you live in your home and BEYOND!
